Parking Operations is working closely with University Grounds and Facilities to reopen the roof levels of the Decks. Current operational limitations remain in place due to the continued intensity of the storm. Additional parking is available at 261 University Avenue, Newark, NJ 07102.

Busch Commuter, Busch Secondary Commuter, Cook Secondary Commuter, Douglass Secondary Commuter, Newark East Commuter, Cook Commuter
Student permit sales for the upcoming Spring 2026 semester will be available on different dates depending on campus. Beginning January 5, 2026, Newark and Camden commuter permits, as well as Newark and Camden resident permits, will be available for purchase.
Rutgers is no longer partnered with Passport Parking.

RWJ Barnabas Health has initiated a multi-phase repair project at the Easton Avenue Parking Deck. The first phase began on October 13, 2025, focusing on the roof level, with primary work involving expansion-joint repairs.
Effective Wednesday, October 2, additional parking will be available for the Rutgers Newark Commuter East permit holders with the addition of a new parking deck on University Avenue.
Effective Fall 2025, Off-campus parking and Night Commuter permits will no longer be available.
The Department of Transportation Services (DOTS), Parking Services unit, launched a new and improved parking permit system on July 30.
