
• Reading Day/Exam/Winter Session 2025 permits are now available for $30 plus tax and are valid from December 10 through January 16, 2026.
Note: If you have an active Fall permit (which covers parking through January 16, 2026), you do not need to purchase a Reading Day/Exam/Winter Session permit to park on campus during this period.

• Student permit sales for upcoming Spring 2026 will be available on the following sale dates per campus:
Available to purchase starting January 5, 2026:
- Newark and Camden Commuters Permits
- Newark and Camen Residents Permits
Available to purchase starting January 12, 2026:
- New Brunswick Commuters Permits
- New Brunswick Residents Permits

- Any unpaid or open citations will prevent you from purchasing a parking permit. Pay or appeal citations from parking portal or follow the link from citation notice.
- It is important to know the lots and/or decks assigned to the active permit registered in the account. Visit ipo.rutgers.edu/parking for detailed parking assignment per permit type listed under “Where Can I Park with My Permit”.
- To park in a Rutgers-owned or leased parking lot or deck you must have an active Parking Permit. For further information on campus Rules and Regulations, visit Parking Rules and Regulations.
- The Spring 2026 student permit is valid from January 17, 2026, through August 14, 2026.
- Pay with your Term Bill or a credit card.
- TA/GA, Part Time Lecturer, CoAdjunct or Fellows incoming for Spring 2026 and have an active status in the HR database, must log-in to the parking portal system and register for a permit. If employee onboarding is on pending status, contact dotshelp.rutgers.edu and send proof of appointment.
