Blaze Maple, Tulip, and more.
Using a grant from the Trees for Schools program, Rutgers Newark, Camden, and New Brunswick campuses added a total of 176 trees to the landscape.
The program is a collaboration of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), The College of New Jersey, and Sustainable Jersey. Funds awarded cover costs associated with planning, site preparation, trees, planting, watering, monitoring, and related expenses over a three-year period. Newark received and planted 49 trees; New Brunswick planted 91 trees; Camden planted 36 trees.
Brian Clemson, IP&O’s Landscape Architect was instrumental in securing the grant and our grounds department planted the trees.
